I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC #47693). I graduated from John F. Kennedy University with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. I have practiced at the Women's Therapy Center, the Bay Area's premiere training facility for relational psychotherapy, as well as Albany High School.
My primary interest is in working with women and young adults.
I am also interested in helping people cope with trauma. I am currently completing my certification in Somatic Experiencing; an approach allowing trauma survivors to re-train their bodies to return to a state of relaxed alertness.
People have come to me for help with how to:
Increase self esteem
Understand and alleviate depression and/or anxiety
Find a sense of peace and acceptance as they face loss and grief whether it’s recent or from the past
Empathize with and understand their romantic partner's perspective
Navigate life transitions
Find more satisfaction at school or work
Form better relationships with others
Understand and stop addictive behaviors
Live with chronic pain and the resulting self blame and depression
