"I couldn't fall asleep because the conversation with my partner kept running in my head. What did they really mean? How could they say that? What is wrong with me, why can't I think or say or even do the right thing at the right time?"
"Why is everyone so mean to me?" "Why does everyone hate me?" "What’s wrong with me?”
"Why can't I just do/be better?"
There are times when life just seems hard, like you are stuck. Perhaps you feel that you can't do anything right or are frequently disappointed in yourself. At these times anxiety, stress or defensiveness may get in your way. Relationships can become a struggle. It feels like there are no clear answers.
These feelings can make us feel a sense of isolation, even if we have family or friends who want to help. Sometimes, it's just too hard to understand or explain what's going on inside. This is when talking to a psychotherapist can really make a difference.
In my practice, I strive to help my clients gain perspective on their lives and reach beyond their loneliness. I offer a non-judgmental, accepting and respectful atmosphere that will help us create a collaborative and genuine working relationship. Together we will explore what is going on for you, develop a deeper self awareness and give you tools to help you live a more joyful and connected life.
I have a special interest in working with women on issues that impact their self-esteem and their relationships. I also specialize in helping young adults negotiate the transition to adulthood.
